Proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) is shown to be a statistical operation that identifies the main characteristics of chaotic flows and separates them into a few modes. The dynamic chaotic flow is obtained from two‐dimensional (2D) computational fluid dynamics simulations, for different Reynolds numbers, of a confined impinging jets mixer. POD enables reconstruction of the dynamic flow from a few modes that are related to coherent flow structures. The POD flow reconstruction enables a large compression of the flow data set. The decomposition of the flow field into orthogonal modes related to coherent structures provides direct insight into the mixing dynamics and scales which are not accessible from flow dynamics statistic quantities, which were introduced in the context of turbulence and are here applied to chaotic flow.  相似文献

Respirable particulate matter (PM10) concentration at one residential site in Delhi, India was predicted using the neural network approach. The concepts of chaotic systems theory were utilized to build the neural network model. The embedding dimension was estimated to provide the inputs to the neural network. The model evaluation results indicated the importance of noise reduction before selecting the embedding dimension of the time series. The selection of a proper embedding dimension is considered to be essential for obtaining reliable predictions. The model’s performance shows the capability of neural networks in modelling the chaotic time series.  相似文献

为实现泵站管道工作状态的在线监测,保障其安全稳定运行,提出一种基于排列熵算法(permutation entropy,简称PE)的泵站压力管道监测方法。该方法充分发挥排列熵算法计算简单和敏感度高等优点,适宜于处理非线性、非平稳信号,通过在关键部位设置传感器获取泵站管道的振动信号,利用信号子序列熵值的变化判断泵站管道振动状况。将该方法应用于景电工程二期七泵站管道的运行监测,通过设置不同的运行工况进行实例验证。结果表明,在开关机组瞬间,振动信号子序列熵值的最大幅差达到0.37,机组稳定运行期间子序列熵值的最大幅差仅为0.07,根据其熵值的变化可快速方便地识别出泵站管道的运行状态,具有较高的精度与可靠度。该方法为泵站管道运行状况的在线监测提供了新思路,为结构下一步安全诊断工作提供基础,具有较好的工程实用性和推广价值。  相似文献

变模式分解(variational mode decomposition,简称VMD)能够将多分量信号一次性分解成多个单分量调幅调频信号(variational intrinsic mode function,简称VIMF),但对噪声比较敏感。利用VMD对噪声的敏感特性,提出了一种基于VMD的降噪方法。利用排列熵定量确定VMD分解后各分量的含噪程度,对高噪分量直接剔除,对低噪分量进行Savitzky-Golay平滑处理,然后重构信号。运用该方法降噪后,对重构信号进行变模式分解,能够有效提取故障特征信号。仿真和实例分析表明,基于VMD的降噪方法的降噪效果优于小波变换降噪方法,VMD能有效提取故障特征信号。  相似文献

In 1932, Marian Rejewski, who was a young mathematician working at the Polish Cipher Bureau, brilliantly recovered the internal wiring of the military Enigma. His initial efforts were unsuccessful because he assumed that the entry permutation was the same as in the commercial machine. Luckily he tried the identity permutation as an alternative and that proved to be correct. This note describes how Rejewski’s equations may be used to deduce the entry permutation without any guesswork, a technique that was later rediscovered by Alan Turing and by Lieutenant Andrew Gleason.  相似文献

Fractional-order proportional-integral-derivative (FOPID) controllers are designed for load-frequency control (LFC) of two interconnected power systems. Conflicting time-domain design objectives are considered in a multi-objective optimization (MOO)-based design framework to design the gains and the fractional differ-integral orders of the FOPID controllers in the two areas. Here, we explore the effect of augmenting two different chaotic maps along with the uniform random number generator (RNG) in the popular MOO algorithm—the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II). Different measures of quality for MOO, e.g. hypervolume indicator, moment of inertia-based diversity metric, total Pareto spread, spacing metric, are adopted to select the best set of controller parameters from multiple runs of all the NSGA-II variants (i.e. nominal and chaotic versions). The chaotic versions of the NSGA-II algorithm are compared with the standard NSGA-II in terms of solution quality and computational time. In addition, the Pareto optimal fronts showing the trade-off between the two conflicting time domain design objectives are compared to show the advantage of using the FOPID controller over that with simple PID controller. The nature of fast/slow and high/low noise amplification effects of the FOPID structure or the four quadrant operation in the two inter-connected areas of the power system is also explored. A fuzzy logic-based method has been adopted next to select the best compromise solution from the best Pareto fronts corresponding to each MOO comparison criteria. The time-domain system responses are shown for the fuzzy best compromise solutions under nominal operating conditions. Comparative analysis on the merits and de-merits of each controller structure is reported then. A robustness analysis is also done for the PID and the FOPID controllers.  相似文献

We propose a new image encryption algorithm which is based on the spatiotemporal non-adjacent coupled map lattices. The system of non-adjacent coupled map lattices has more outstanding cryptography features in dynamics than the logistic map or coupled map lattices does. In the proposed image encryption, we employ a bit-level pixel permutation strategy which enables bit planes of pixels permute mutually without any extra storage space. Simulations have been carried out and the results demonstrate the superior security and high efficiency of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

Factory management plays an important role in improving the productivity and quality of service in the production process. In particular, the distributed permutation flow shop scheduling problem with multiple factories is considered a priority factor in the factory automation. This study proposes a novel model of the developed distributed scheduling by supplementing the reentrant characteristic into the model of distributed reentrant permutation flow shop (DRPFS) scheduling. This problem is described as a given set of jobs with a number of reentrant layers is processed in the factories, which compromises a set of machines, with the same properties. The aim of the study is to determine the number of factory needs to be used, jobs assignment to certain factory and sequence of job assigned to the factory in order to simultaneously satisfy three objectives of minimizing makespan, total cost and average tardiness. To do this, a novel multi-objective adaptive large neighborhood search (MOALNS) algorithm is developed for finding the near optimal solutions based on the Pareto front. Various destroy and repair operators are presented to balance between intensification and diversification of searching process. The numerical examples of computational experiments are carried out to validate the proposed model. The analytical results on the performance of proposed algorithm are checked and compared with the existing methods to validate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed potential algorithm in handling the DRPFS problem.  相似文献

A chaotic-cipher-based packet body encryption algorithm for JPEG2000 images is proposed in this paper. In order to produce a compliant codestream, a 2-byte block encryption procedure including bit-wise exclusive OR and cyclic rotation operations is investigated. Moreover, a repeatedly encryption process is adopted to eliminate the undesirable marker codes during encryption. The repeatedly encryption process only introduces a negligible computational overhead. Both simulations and analysis show that the proposed algorithm is of high security and simplicity. Therefore, these good properties make the algorithm efficient to process and useful for image applications.  相似文献
